PREVENTIONS OF DENGUE

PREVENTIONS OF DENGUE

What protective measures are there?

An effective vaccination does not (yet) exist. But she is in trial. The only possible protection is therefore currently to avoid mosquito bites.

The following rules of conduct should be noted:

How can I prevent dengue at home?

Here are other measures that you can adopt to prevent your home from infestation.

Get rid of stagnant water. ...

Using Mosquito repellant. ...

Spray pesticides in the corners. ...

Use camphor as a mosquito repellent. ...

Tulsi plant as a mosquito repellent. ...

Lavender oil.

Wear long trousers and long-sleeved clothing (mosquitoes can often sting through clothing)

Windows and air conditioners with mosquito screens or keep windows closed

Spray an insecticide half an hour before bedtime

Igniting so-called mosquito coils

Turn on the air conditioner

Sleep under a mosquito net

Rub uncovered body parts with a recommended mosquito repellent
At the same time, these measures protect you against other diseases, such as malaria.

Am I protected for a persistent illness?

Unfortunately, a contracted disease does not protect against further infection. Because there are four different viruses known that can trigger the dengue fever.

Thus, a person who is increasingly in areas where the dengue fever occurs, can fall ill according to the current state of science up to four times.

Initial illnesses are usually benign and heal without complications.

For secondary infections, however, a difficult course is possible.
